Here’s another entry in our BFF contest. I’m telling you, it’s so much to get these in my inbox!

I met my best friend Teah a long time ago, when I was 5. Now I’m 15 and she’s 16. We met because we lived on the same street and were in the same kindergarten class. We have 1/2 kindergarten so we’d go to each other’s houses every day.

We’d have mac n’ cheese with hot dogs in it and strawberry milk. Also we’d play spice girls, and do our makeup (we looked like clowns). We always would both want to be Baby Spice, so we decided neither of us could be her. She’d always be Ginger and I’d be Sporty. Once at my birthday, I got white nail polish and Teah used it. I didn’t like that and had a fit. I said sorry after, and now it’s a big joke between us. We have so many good times, and we never fight. :)

My artist has gone on strike, but here’s another fabulous entry for our BFF contest.

“I seen friends, I seen best friends, I seen friends who will always be in each other’s lives, sister would describe them better, but that doesn’t cover it, they are just Tia and Tegan, I really don’t know how I would describe them any better than that.” – Rob

It was her first day at a new school (M.S.B) on May 31st 2000 (Nine years ago on Sunday! Woot! I love my baby girl) and it was near the end of the school year, because she moved towns to live with her dad so late in the year. We were in the same class because the school consists of 100 people (150 if it’s a good year). It was recess in the morning when Jocelyn and Sabina went to go ask Mario and Adam whether or not she (by the by her name is Tia) could join “The Group”.

They came back to her and said that the boys said no. So she looked over and saw me walking around the sandbox.  And she being the way she always is, decided to walk around the sand box. So eventually we ran into each other, and started talking and from there the rest as they say is history.

That summer was more than likely the hardest summer of my life! She spent the summer at her mother’s a horrible hour and 15min drive. I did not see her for the entire summer. Since the day after Labor day when school started up again we have barely gone a day without talking to each other, let alone a week.

Eight years and 364days later, endless marathons of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, midnight (or daytime) phone calls, countless inside jokes, we never have to finish a sentence around each other and we have this freakish connection.

Next year we are going to be farther apart than ever, maybe this summer she is going to China, and Nova Scotia for school , and I am going the University of Ottawa, and we are going to be busy with live, but as I said before we are fine with being apart, just better at being together.

To end with a quote from our seventh grade teacher  Mr. Macloud on the days  when some one was late or sick or away.

“Where’s the rest of you?”

Another entry for the BFF contest that proves friendship is all relative:

My BFF is definitely my younger sister.  I don’t know how to explain how I ‘met’ her, but I am glad I have her.  I do not think anyone could beat her as a friend or as a sister.  She is amazing, loyal, strong and very, very giving.  She deserves to win because of how good a friend she is, especially to me.

She is younger than I am by several years, but trust me she is far more impressive as a person than I have ever been.  We could switch places and lie about our age, if it wasn’t for how age made us look different… I’m sure it’d be hard to tell I was older. There is no way to narrow down her caring and strong character so i guess i will give you an example.

Once my family and I went shopping and my nose started to bleed very heavily and she, at seven years old on her own will took my hand and took me to the bathroom and helped me clean up.  I could have handled it, my mom would have been right there to help, but it was she who was the first to do something.

I know I mentioned I am SEVERAL years older than her. She is such a trooper and I love her.  I am an obsessive reader, and she prefers the media.  She is my inspiration, my sister and my BFF.   She absolutely deserves this and mmmmuuuuuuucccchhhh more.

And yet another fabulous entry in the BFF contest. I have more to post, so if you haven’t seen your entry yet, don’t worry.

Jessica’s entry:

My best friend’s name is Renae. I move a lot! So when I moved here in 6th grade I was nervous but she came up to me in 1st hour and asked if I was new then she invited me to sit with her at lunch. I’ve now known her for 4 years and we have never had a fight, ever.

We are now going to be on our school’s dance team together and will see each other everyday this summer. We are going to have a blast. The best part of Renae is that she is as crazy about reading as I am. Once our school year is over we are going to add her to my book blog so that she can post reviews too. Thanks for considering us in this awesome contest! I love that you are promoting friendship!

Thanks, Jessica! We also like to promote reading, so we invite you to visit Eat Sleep Dance Read.

Here’s another entry in the BFF launch contest.

We’re getting so many, the illustration department is having a hard time keeping up.

Here’s Ozaira’s entry:

My name is Ozaira and my BFF is Zainab. We met in 2nd grade. She used to sit next to me. At first we were both shy and rarely talked to each other but one day a boy from my class accidentally knocked out my lunch from my hand and Zainab shared hers with me.

We’ve been best friends since and although we are both in separate colleges we still hang out and she has been there with me through thick and thin. She is really sweet, shy, dependable, helpful and is always there for me.

In this entry, the very clever Steph and Emily teamed up–they both sent me their story and by doing so, get a total of six chances to win!

Have you entered yet? The process appears to be fairly painless. (Unlike Darcy’s tattoo.)

Emily and Steph’s entry:

We were in kindergarten right next to each other and our teacher paired us up. Neither of us knew ANYONE and instantly clicked and we have been friends for over 7 years–ya, me and Emily are best buds!

We have more entries to post for the BFF contest. Have you entered yet? Can we entice you with the chance to win not only the new iPod Shuffle for yourself, but your best friend too? Or even a CD of BFF songs?

Speaking of which, we give you this BFF musical interlude, which might be the geekiest and funniest lip synced version of Wannabe ever.

Still plenty of time to enter the contest! I’m seriously enjoying reading all these stories. They’re incredible.

Here’s another terrific entry:

I met my BFF in 1st grade where we instantly became inseparable from the moment we met. Unfortunately, we stopped being good friends after 1st grade but 5 years later, we had the same 6th grade class and once again, clicked right away.

She’s still my best friend until this day. We found out a lot about each other such as we’re distant cousins AND we were baptized TOGETHER (same day, same church, our parents stood right next to each other). I think she deserves this prize because she is someone who I am really grateful for and even though winning this prize would not even to begin to thank her for all that she has done, but it’s a start.

She also deserves this because she saved me. I’ve made a lot of bad decisions in life and she accepted me even through all of it. If it wasn’t for her, I probably wouldn’t be here writing this. She saved me from myself and in the long run, saved my life.
